Tom and Rich's Excellent Adventure

This is Rich. Rich has connections. Rich took Tom on an excellent adventure to see Walsh Field at Candlestick Park.

Here is the aforementioned field

Here's Tom imagining being hauled off the field in this sweet ride

Sixty Years?! How did this happen?

I turned 60 on September 6, 2008. I can't believe I'm this old! Here are some pictures from my party.

Happy birthday to me

What a fun party! My family convened to celebrate my sixty years of life. Many thanks to my mother and father for having me, and my family for honoring me.

Turkey Day

Here is a record of the events leading up to a fabulous Thanksgiving Day buffet at Casa Early. Stephanie was home to help with the preparations, and she made the pumpkin pie. I did the crust, as I didn't wish to subject her to the rigors of wielding a rolling pin.

We were stunned by the task before us

Just kidding

Something to be thankful for

We had a wonderful time with all the nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, mothers, mothers-in-law, fathers, friends. Lots of food, lots of laughs. Can't wait until next year. Maybe we'll have more people.

Summer Memories

Here are some pictures from our trip back East this summer. We visited family in Pennsylvania, friends in Baltimore, and darling daughter in DC. Then, magic in the Outer Banks.

Christmas in San Francisco

This is Dougal. Dougal is my wire-coated dachshund. Starting a blog is a nerve-wracking affair, and beginning with a picture of my dog seemed like a safe bet.

I'm attempting to become tech-savvy with the assistance of my daughter, Stephanie, a blog veteran. I'm afraid my blogging will be but a pale imitation of the witty posts my daughter does. That said, I'm excited to have a place to put pictures to share with interested parties. I'd like to think that Stephanie gets her facility with the written word from me...clearly this is not so. So, let's just get on with it, and post some pictures from Christmas.

Here is Dougal preparing for Christmas. Notice the long, dachshund face that is ususally hidden by his luxurious beard.

Dougal is getting ready to harness up the reindeer. He had a busy night!

While Dougal was out delivering goodies, the rest of us were having Christmas Eve at Mom and Pop's. Good eats and good company
